Interview with Chevvy!!!

Gnar: Hey Chevvy thank you for taking the time today to do this interview! Can you tell us how you got into getting tattoos?

Chevvy: I wandered into a tattoo parlour next to my work when I was 17. I was too young, so I waited another 5 months and then planned out my first tattoo, a cherry blossom branch on my left calf. I didn't get another tattoo for over a year, and when I got my wrists done, the ideas for things I wanted to get on my body just multiplied. I started out small with random pieces, foot, then forearm, shoulder and then I started getting big work planned. I love my tattoos, not to sound cheesy, but they really tell the story of what you're into.

Gnar: I totally agree!! Do you have a favorite tattoo artist and or parlor?
Chevvy: I've been going to Fat City Tattoo in New Westminster BC for 3 years now. I won't go anywhere else.

Gnar: That's the way to go! lol I do the same with my favorite place! Do you have any goals for later in life?
Chevvy: To be famous. Just kidding! To keep making art and doing what I do as a model on an international level. =)

Gnar: Excellent!! What kind of arts do you do?

Chevvy: I model, style, do hair etc. smile.gif

Gnar: Gnarly!! How do you like being a tattooed model?

Chevvy: It's pretty rad. It's hard though at the same time, as every girl with a witty quote on her ribs wants to be a model now. So there's a dime a dozen.

Gnar: That's true!! I really love your work though I've heard about you years ago. So that's proof enough that you model well! :-) Do you have any plans or ideas for your next few tattoos yet?

Chevvy: Thanks,
I have to finish my sleeves, they still need color/expansion.
Then I have some back piece ideas. That's a ways down the road however, with the schedule I keep!

Gnar: Excellent!! Do you have any plans or goals for later in life?

Chevvy: I guess to travel more. I'd like to see a few places before I have a family! smile.gif

Gnar: Sounds great!! Any shout outs and or thank you before we wrap this up?

Interview with Josie Morris!!

Gnar: Can you tell us how you got into getting tattoos?

Josie: Getting tattoos is a part of my every day job. At the age of 17 I was a tattoo apprentice for a year. I then started to work for my self soon after, and it was then that i took the plunge to get my first tattoo. Nearly all the tattoos I have are done by myself, mainly on my legs as its just easier to reach. From then on, I do a new tattoo on my self every year to represent another year of my career as a tattoo artist blank.gif

Gnar: That's awesome! I did one on my foot while I was an tattoo artist. What is your favorite tattoo style? Traditional, Japanese, BW, or others?

Josie: I love colour blank.gifit just makes people smileblank.gif, but black n gray I also enjoy as it just works best for certain styles blank.gif

Gnar: I agree! Do you have any plans for your next few tattoos yet?

Josie: My next tattoo i want to get is a tattoo gun and a paint brush to represent my dedication to art blank.gifwhere??  Not sure yet, im thinking maybe my right arm which as its the arm i use to draw and tattoo.

Gnar: That's amazing!! Do you have any big goals or plans for your future?

Josie: to be one on the uks top tattooists in time.. and for my artwork to be recognized blank.gif

Gnar: Excellent!! I am sure you will get up there in no time! blank.gif Do you have any shout outs or thank you before we wrap this up?

Josie: Just want to thank a guy named mark pool who inspired me as a artist from my mid teens. his artwork and tattoo work inspired me to take my artwork down the same path. and i have loved tattoos as an art form ever since blank.gif x.x.x

Krysta: Thanks for having me! I got into it early 12 is when i got my first one been determined to cover myself since then =]

Gnar: Excellent!! Do you have a favorite tattoo artist or parlor?

Krysta: I mainly just have a tattoo artist that I go to.. Throughout the years all my tat have been garage work from friends or myself hehe. My main man right now is Jerry Walker from Lancaster Ca xo

Gnar: Gnarly!!! Do you have any plans or goals for later in life?

Krysta: no plans for the future really just been going with the flow of life these days.

Gnar: Do you have any plans for your next few tattoos yet?

Krysta: Hehe yes I plan on gettin a dancing pickle with a top hat and a mustache and a bowl of mac n cheese and a ray gun =] just to name a few =]

Gnar: Whats your take on being a tattooed model? Do you think it helps or doesn't help. Also do you think that tattooed models will ever be more popular than the average models?

Krysta: Its not that it doesn't help its just who I am. There are photographers who wont work with me because I'm tattooed, but that's fine. I get it. Theres's a place for everyone and you cant expect tatted models to do the same type of work as non tattd models and vise versa.. There's so many different types of modeling out there that really anyone can do. Whether ur inkd or not. Just do what you know don't try to be something your not.

Gnar: Also do you have any shout outs or thank you before we wrap this up?

Krysta: Id like to thank you man for taking the time with me! and thanks to all my fans out there! Love you guys. muah!
